Upgrading Industrial and Supply Chains Boost Global Manufacturing

Global Supply Chain Expo in Beijing Sparks New Era of Collaboration

The Second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) kicked off in Beijing on Tuesday, uniting over 620 enterprises and institutions from around the world—a 20% increase from last year. With the theme “Connecting the World for a Shared Future,” the expo has seen overseas exhibitors rise to 32%, reflecting growing global interest.

Young entrepreneurs and industry leaders are engaging in dynamic discussions on international cooperation in industrial and supply chains. Key topics include advanced manufacturing, clean energy, smart vehicles, digital technology, green agriculture, and supply chain services.

Zhang Shaogang, vice chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, noted, “The increased participation demonstrates the global community’s expectations for cooperation and the trust enterprises worldwide have in the expo and China’s development.”

At the expo, the Beijing Initiative for International Cooperation on Industrial and Supply Chains was unveiled, outlining five key points:

  1. Jointly promote open cooperation in global industrial and supply chains.
  2. Advance digital connectivity.
  3. Boost green and low-carbon development.
  4. Improve industrial and supply chain services.
  5. Harness the unique role of the business community.

This year’s CISCE aims to integrate players from all stages of the supply chain, foster collaboration between large companies and small to medium-sized enterprises, and enhance synergy among industry, research, and application. Increased interaction between Chinese and international businesses sets the stage for mutual engagement and win-win cooperation.

The expo reflects China’s invitation to the global business community to collaborate in building a secure, stable, efficient, open, inclusive, and mutually beneficial industrial and supply chain system. As the world becomes more interconnected, events like CISCE offer a platform for young innovators to shape the future of global manufacturing and cooperation.
