Brazil is embracing a greener future, thanks to a growing partnership with China in renewable energy. Chinese investments and technology are energizing Brazil’s shift towards sustainable development, offering a major boost to the nation’s economic transformation.
One shining example is the Marangatu Photovoltaic Power Plant, the first in Brazil to be invested in and managed by China State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) Brazil. Operational since June 2024, this solar power plant generates enough electricity to supply nearly 550,000 households every year.
“Brazil has abundant natural resources, and with China’s advanced technologies, we can accelerate our energy transition,” says Fernanda Buzola, a young professional at SPIC Brazil. “This collaboration benefits our local communities and contributes to a greener world for everyone.”
