American Filmmaker Shares Heartwarming Memories of China

U.S. filmmaker Bobby Mosser has a treasure trove of unforgettable memories from his time studying in China. As a Chinese language major at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in Sichuan Province, Bobby immersed himself in the vibrant culture and history of the country.

“I felt immense joy and excitement while in China,” he shared. From savoring delicious dishes at a family-run restaurant brimming with warmth and hospitality to spontaneous encounters during his travels, every experience left a lasting impression.

Bobby fondly recalls the bustling yet peaceful life in Chengdu City. “There’s a unique energy there,” he said. “It’s lively but also soothing in its own way.”

He returned to the U.S. with numerous mementos, many of which were heartfelt gifts from his Chinese friends. “I do feel this sort of longing and sense of nostalgia,” Bobby admitted. “So many great memories of my experience traveling and learning Chinese.”
