Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), has extended New Year greetings to China Media Group (CMG) and its staff. In his message on Tuesday, Bach congratulated CMG on the release of its 2025 sports events resources and the launch of a special program aimed at promoting mass sports events, fostering national fitness, and advocating scientific exercise.
Bach highlighted the longstanding partnership between the IOC and CMG, stating that over the decades, CMG has been a valuable partner in inspiring hundreds of millions of Chinese people. He praised CMG for setting an industry benchmark in Olympic broadcasting.
“The IOC is proud to collaborate with CMG and looks forward to new opportunities for cooperation,” said Bach. As his term as IOC President approaches its conclusion, he expressed gratitude for the decade of collaboration and friendship with CMG.
