President Xi Celebrates Lunar New Year with Military Veterans

Chinese President Xi Jinping extended warm Spring Festival greetings to military veterans during a gala hosted by the Central Military Commission (CMC) for retired military officers stationed in Beijing on Friday. As the leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the CMC, President Xi joined the veterans amid enthusiastic applause.

Engaging with the veterans, President Xi inquired about their health and daily lives. Together, they reflected on the remarkable journey and significant achievements of the Party, the nation, and the military over the past year.

The veterans expressed their steadfast support for the CPC Central Committee with President Xi at its core. They pledged to uphold Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and to implement his vision for strengthening the military.

Committed to preserving fine traditions and maintaining political integrity, the veterans vowed to contribute to building a strong country and achieving national rejuvenation through a Chinese path to modernization.

The Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese Lunar New Year, falls on January 29 this year, marking a time of reunion and celebration across the country.
