A recent poll released by the AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research indicates that a significant majority of Americans are dissatisfied with President Donald Trump’s performance 100 days into his second term. The survey, which interviewed 1,260 adults through online and phone interviews, reveals that nearly twice as many Americans believe President Trump is focusing on the wrong priorities compared to those who think he’s on the right track.
Over half of the respondents consider Trump’s presidency to be poor or terrible so far in his second term. Sixteen percent view his performance as average, while 31 percent rate it as great or good. The poll highlights widespread disapproval across various policy areas, including the economy, immigration, and foreign policy, with 58 percent expressing unfavorable views and only 39 percent approving of his performance.
The survey also notes that 62 percent of participants feel the country is heading in the wrong direction. Despite these numbers, the public seems largely unsurprised by the early months of Trump’s second term, with only about 30 percent expressing surprise over his policies and actions.
These findings suggest growing concern among Americans about the current administration’s priorities and the direction in which the nation is heading.
