Astana, Kazakhstan — In a significant cultural exchange, the Kazakh editions of Volumes I through IV of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China were officially launched on Thursday in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
At the launch ceremony, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Culture and Information, Aida Balayeva, highlighted the deepening relationship between Kazakhstan and China. She noted that the strong ties and mutual trust between the leaders of the two nations have energized their bilateral relations.
“The books are rich in content, profound in thought, and highly relevant in practice,” Balayeva said. “They are important works that will help Kazakh readers gain a better understanding of China.”
Participants at the event described the collection as a major work by Chinese President Xi Jinping, encapsulating his insights on national and global governance. They believe the books serve as a “window of ideas” for the international community to comprehend China’s development and policies.
The event organizers expressed hope that through these editions, people across various sectors in Kazakhstan will find valuable insights for exploring development paths suited to their own national conditions.
Approximately 300 representatives from political parties, media outlets, think tanks, and universities from both countries attended the ceremony. The Kazakh editions were co-translated and published by China’s Ethnic Publishing House and Kazakhstan’s Foliant Publishing House.
To date, Xi Jinping: The Governance of China has been translated and published in 42 languages, reflecting its global impact and the growing interest in China’s governance and development philosophy.
