China Secures Silver and Bronze at Asian Men’s Gymnastics Championships Finale

Chinese gymnasts added to their medal tally on the final day of the Asian Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Jecheon, South Korea.

In the vault final, Huang Mingqi showcased a remarkable performance, earning a score of 14.400 points. He was narrowly edged out by Mahdi Olfati of Iran, who secured gold with 14.500 points. Olfati’s victory marks a historic moment as it is the first-ever gold medal for Iran in gymnastics at the Asian Championships.

The excitement continued in the horizontal bar final, where China had two contenders: Tian Hao and Shi Cong. Tian delivered an impressive routine, scoring 14.700 points and claiming the bronze medal. Shi finished in fifth place. The gold medal was won by Tang Chia-hung of Chinese Taipei, who achieved a top score of 15.233 points. Tomoharu Tsunogai of Japan took the silver.

These achievements highlight the competitive spirit and skill of China’s gymnasts on the Asian stage, as they continue to make their mark in the sport.
