“These tariffs have prompted us to rethink our trade strategies,” says Professor Luciano Campos from the University of Buenos Aires. “By uniting, the Global South can form a formidable economic bloc to mitigate the impact of such unilateral policies.”

Professor Fernando Brancoli of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro believes collaboration is key. “Joint initiatives in infrastructure and technology can boost intra-regional trade,” he suggests. “By working together, we can create a more resilient economic network.”
Associate Professor Marcos Cordeiro Pires from UNESP emphasizes the importance of shared policies. “Harmonizing trade regulations will make it easier for our countries to do business with each other,” he notes. “This unity can help us withstand external economic pressures.”
As the Global South seeks to unite, there’s a growing sense of optimism. By fostering stronger connections and supporting one another, these nations aim to build a robust economic front that not only counters current challenges but also paves the way for future prosperity.
