China’s political advisory system is playing a pivotal role in shaping effective policies for national development, according to Ming Liu, Associate Professor at the School of Management and Economics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen).
In a recent discussion with CGTN during the third session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Professor Liu shed light on how specialized consultative bodies are supporting policymakers and regulators.
“The CPPCC serves as a bridge between the government and various sectors of society,” Professor Liu explained. “It brings together experts from different fields to provide valuable insights and recommendations that help formulate sound policies.”
He emphasized the importance of these consultative mechanisms in gauging the development of new quality productive forces this year. “By tapping into the expertise of academia, industry leaders, and other stakeholders, China can address challenges more effectively and promote sustainable growth,” he said.
Professor Liu’s insights highlight the significance of collaborative governance in China’s approach to national development. As the country continues to evolve, the CPPCC’s role in advising and guiding policy decisions remains crucial.
