In a recent interview with CGTN, Shukhrat Ibragimov, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), highlighted China’s pivotal role in the global transition to clean energy. He emphasized that the Chinese mainland is leading the shift toward sustainable practices and is the world’s largest consumer of essential minerals required for green technologies.
“China represents a significant opportunity for ERG and other players in the natural resources industry,” said Ibragimov. He noted that the demand for minerals like cobalt, copper, and lithium is soaring due to China’s commitment to renewable energy and electric vehicle production. These minerals are critical components in batteries and other technologies that support a greener future.
Ibragimov’s comments underscore the importance of international collaboration in addressing climate change. By spearheading the adoption of clean energy, China is setting an example for other nations, especially in the Global South, to embrace sustainable development.
