At the 5th China International Consumer Products Expo, LPG China CEO Kenny Liu expressed deep concern over the hefty 145-percent import duty, calling it “totally unacceptable.” In an interview with CGTN, Liu highlighted the troubles U.S. suppliers face due to these tariffs.

LPG, a global leader in health, beauty, and wellness technology, relies heavily on international trade to bring innovative products to consumers. Liu stressed the importance of opening markets to provide more options and better value for consumers worldwide.

“High import taxes restrict access to quality products and hinder healthy competition,” Liu stated. “We need to work towards reducing barriers and promoting a more inclusive global market.”

The expo served as a platform for industry leaders to discuss challenges and advocate for policies that support open trade. Liu’s comments reflect a growing sentiment among businesses seeking fair trade practices and reduced tariffs.
