Despite rising trade tensions, Vigurus Technologies CEO Brian Jamieson believes China remains the most advanced place to manufacture shoes.
Speaking to CGTN, Jamieson expressed that US tariffs exceeding 50 percent have little practical impact on his company. “Once tariffs reach such levels, any further increases don’t make much difference,” he said.
He highlighted the unpredictability of US policies under President Trump, noting that Vigurus Technologies has no plans to relocate its factory from China to the United States or any other country.
Jamieson emphasized the advantages of manufacturing in China, citing the country’s advanced technology and skilled workforce in the footwear industry.
“China’s efficiency and expertise make it the optimal location for high-quality footwear production,” he added.
