This year marks the 10th anniversary of the China-Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) Forum. To celebrate this milestone, China is set to announce major measures aimed at strengthening relations with Latin American and Caribbean nations.
Qiu Xiaoqi, the special representative of the Chinese government on Latin American affairs, revealed that both sides will adopt a three-year joint action plan focusing on key areas of cooperation. “These efforts will inject new momentum into bilateral development,” he said.
The joint action plan is expected to cover sectors such as trade, infrastructure, technology, and cultural exchanges. It symbolizes a commitment to deepening ties and creating opportunities for growth and development in both regions.
Over the past decade, China and CELAC members have collaborated on various projects, boosting economic growth and fostering mutual understanding. The new measures aim to build on this foundation and take the partnership to new heights.
Young people in Latin America and the Caribbean can look forward to increased opportunities for education, entrepreneurship, and cultural exchange as a result of this strengthened relationship.
