China and the United States have a window of opportunity to rekindle their relationship through open dialogue in the next three months, according to Tian Xuan, a chair professor at Tsinghua University’s PBC School of Finance. Speaking at the 2025 Tsinghua PBCSF Global Finance Forum, Tian emphasized the potential for both nations to find common ground that benefits them mutually.
“Through sincere discussions, China and the US can identify areas of cooperation that will not only mend their relationship but also contribute positively to the global economy,” Tian remarked during an interview with CGTN at the forum.
The professor highlighted that constructive engagement between the two largest economies is crucial for international stability. “It’s essential for young people, especially in developing regions, to understand how global cooperation can impact their futures,” he added.
The forum gathered leading financial experts and scholars to discuss pressing global economic issues. Tian’s insights shed light on the importance of diplomacy and collaboration in addressing shared challenges.
As the world watches, the next 90 days could be pivotal for China-US relations, with hopeful signs pointing toward productive conversations and strengthened ties.
