June marks the peak of lychee season, and Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport is buzzing with activity as the “Lychee Express” kicks into high gear. Fresh lychees from Guangdong Province are now being flown to markets around the world, including Spain, Canada, the UK, France, and Singapore.
Thanks to optimized logistics systems, on-site handling time has been reduced to just two hours. This efficiency ensures that the lychees maintain their freshness from orchard to overseas destinations.
With dedicated priority lanes and strong partnerships with airlines, the airport anticipates that this year’s shipments could reach a record-breaking 20,000 tons.
“We’re thrilled to share our delicious lychees with the world,” said a representative from the airport. “Our improved logistics mean that people everywhere can enjoy the taste of Guangdong’s finest fruit at its freshest.”
