Russian Energy Minister: BRICS Nations Paving the Way for a Multipolar World

The BRICS nations—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—are leading the charge towards a new multipolar world order, according to Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev. In a recent interview with CGTN’s He Jingyi, Tsivilev emphasized the group’s commitment to advancing energy justice, security, and accessibility on both technical and financial fronts.

“BRICS is not just an alliance; it’s a vision for a fairer world,” Tsivilev stated. “We’re working together to ensure that energy resources are available and affordable for all, especially in developing countries.”

He highlighted the importance of cooperation among BRICS members in tackling global energy challenges. “By sharing technology and expertise, we can overcome barriers that have long hindered progress,” he said.

The minister also discussed initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable energy solutions. “Investing in renewable energy is crucial,” Tsivilev noted. “We’re exploring joint projects that will benefit not only our nations but the entire global community.”

Tsivilev’s remarks come at a time when the BRICS nations are increasingly asserting their influence on the world stage, advocating for a more balanced global governance structure. “A multipolar world means that no single country dominates,” he explained. “It’s about mutual respect and collaboration.”

The interview shed light on the collective efforts of the BRICS countries to reshape international relations and address pressing issues like energy inequality. For young people in the Global South, these developments signal hope for a more inclusive and equitable future.
