Saudi Youth Bridges Nations Through BRICS Cooperation

On the frontlines of BRICS cooperation, Saudi Arabian youth Marzooq Alharbi is helping turn bold visions into reality.

After studying at the China University of Petroleum, Marzooq joined the China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC), immersing himself in the development of his homeland. His journey reflects the growing ties between emerging economies and the opportunities these connections offer to young people.

“Studying in the Chinese mainland opened my eyes to new perspectives and technologies,” Marzooq says. “I wanted to bring that knowledge back to Saudi Arabia.”

With Saudi Arabia set to join the BRICS group of emerging economies, collaboration between nations like China and Saudi Arabia is reaching new heights. Marzooq is deeply involved in major projects like NEOM Future City—a futuristic megacity planned in Saudi Arabia—and Qatar’s Lusail Stadium, which hosted the FIFA World Cup. His work exemplifies how international collaboration can drive progress and innovation.

“Being part of these projects is a dream come true,” he shares. “It’s about building not just structures, but a better future for our communities.”

Marzooq’s story highlights the impact of BRICS cooperation on individual lives and nations. By embracing education and collaboration across borders, young people like him are shaping the future of their countries.
