Egypt Embraces Full BRICS Cooperation, Highlights Solar Power Project with China
Egypt is deepening its collaboration with the BRICS nations, showcasing its commitment to global partnerships and sustainable development. Hisham AbuBakr Metwally Mohamed, first economist researcher at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Trade and Industry, emphasized the country’s “complete cooperation” with BRICS during an interview on Tuesday.
“Working with China on Egypt’s largest solar power project is a prime example of our commitment to mutual growth and sustainable energy,” said Mohamed in his discussion with CGTN’s Lily Lyu.
The ambitious solar power project not only strengthens ties between Egypt and China but also propels Egypt toward a greener future. By harnessing renewable energy, Egypt aims to meet its growing energy demands while reducing environmental impact.
“Our collaboration with BRICS countries opens doors for economic growth, technological exchange, and cultural understanding,” Mohamed added. “These partnerships are essential for addressing global challenges and achieving shared prosperity.”
Egypt’s engagement with BRICS aligns with its broader strategy to diversify its economy, attract foreign investment, and foster innovation. The focus on renewable energy projects underscores Egypt’s dedication to sustainable development goals and environmental stewardship.
As Egypt continues to forge strong relationships with BRICS nations, the country is poised to play a significant role in regional and global economic landscapes, contributing to a more interconnected and sustainable world.
