China’s economy is poised for continued strength in the second half of the year, according to Zhang Ning, Senior China Economist at UBS Investment Bank. In a recent interview, Zhang highlighted the nation’s robust first-half performance, attributing it to strong exports and effective retail-boosting policies.
“The resilience we’ve seen is remarkable,” Zhang noted. “Exports have remained a key driver, and government initiatives have successfully stimulated consumer spending.”
Looking ahead, Zhang anticipates additional stimulus measures to sustain the growth momentum. “There’s room for further policy support,” she said. “We expect targeted actions to bolster key sectors and promote steady economic expansion.”
The economist’s optimistic outlook reflects confidence in China’s ability to navigate global economic challenges and underscores the importance of strategic policy implementation.
