Narong Chearavanont, senior vice chairman of Thailand’s CP Group, has announced the company’s plans to integrate China’s advanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities into its global supply chain operations. Speaking during an interview with CGTN at the 2023 China International Supply Chain Expo, Chearavanont emphasized that leveraging China’s leading AI technology will enhance efficiency across their international operations.
Since entering the Chinese market in 1979, CP Group has significantly expanded its footprint, venturing into sectors such as agri-food, retail, financial services, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Chearavanont highlighted the group’s commitment to accelerating product development to better align with and serve China’s vast consumer market.
“China’s advancements in AI present a tremendous opportunity for us to optimize our supply chains,” Chearavanont stated. “By integrating these technologies, we’re poised to deliver products more efficiently and meet the evolving needs of consumers.”
