The third China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing brought together global leaders to discuss the future of regional cooperation and innovation in supply chains. Narong Chearavanont, senior vice chairman of Thailand’s CP Group, emphasized the importance of deepening ties with the Chinese mainland and global markets. “We are optimistic about China’s advancements in artificial intelligence and other technologies,” he said. “These innovations are crucial for upgrading food supply chains and improving efficiency, ultimately benefiting consumers across the region.”
Chearavanont highlighted how embracing cutting-edge technology can transform traditional industries. “By integrating AI into our operations, we can ensure food safety, reduce waste, and respond more effectively to consumer demands,” he added.
Meanwhile, Joseph Cherian, CEO and dean of the Asia School of Business, praised China’s significant progress in reforming its pension system. “China’s achievements provide valuable lessons for other nations,” Cherian noted. He also discussed the growing synergies between China and ASEAN countries in trade, cross-border infrastructure, and financial cooperation. “Regional collaboration is key to sustainable economic growth,” he said. “By working together, we can enhance connectivity and prosperity for all.”
