Beijing — High-ranking Chinese military official Miao Hua has been suspended from his duties and placed under investigation for suspected serious violations of discipline, according to an announcement made on Thursday.
Miao, a member of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and director of the Political Work Department, is being investigated by decision of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said Wu Qian, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, during a press conference.
No further details about the alleged violations were provided. The move underscores efforts to maintain discipline within China’s military ranks.
