China Coast Guard Urges Philippines to Stop Provocations

China Urges Philippines to Halt Provocative Actions in South China Sea

On Monday, a spokesperson for the China Coast Guard (CCG) announced that necessary control measures have been taken against Philippine vessels allegedly engaging in illegal activities near Houteng Jiao in China’s Nansha Islands.

The CCG reported that Philippine vessels were gathering under the guise of fishing in waters claimed by China. The spokesperson urged the Philippines to immediately cease these provocative actions and respect China’s maritime sovereignty.

The South China Sea remains a hotspot for territorial disputes, with both China and the Philippines asserting claims over certain areas. The region is significant due to its rich resources and strategic shipping lanes.

Both nations are encouraged to engage in open dialogue to peacefully resolve these disputes and maintain stability in the region.
