The leaders discussed plans to enhance cooperation as both nations prepare to celebrate the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations next year.
Vice President Han emphasized the importance of following the consensus reached by the top leaders of both countries. Bui Thanh Son reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to its relationship with China, describing it as a consistent proposition and top priority for Vietnam’s diplomacy. “Developing long-term friendly relations with China is an objective requirement and a strategic choice for us,” he said. He also expressed Vietnam’s dedication to the one-China policy and its willingness to deepen cooperation and consolidate political trust.
The upcoming China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges is expected to further solidify the bonds between the two countries. Both leaders expressed optimism about the future, pledging to enhance high-level exchanges and promote a shared strategic significance.
