Chinese Egyptian Foreign Ministers Hold Strategic Dialogue in Beijing

China and Egypt Forge Stronger Ties in Beijing Meeting

Beijing, China — In a significant move to bolster their longstanding friendship, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty co-chaired a strategic dialogue in Beijing on Friday.

Under the guidance of their respective leaders, both nations expressed a commitment to deepen cooperation across various sectors. Wang Yi highlighted China’s support for Egypt in safeguarding its national sovereignty and development interests, stating that China opposes any interference in Egypt’s internal affairs.

"China is ready to work with Egypt to implement the important consensus reached by our heads of state," Wang said. "We aim to push our bilateral relations toward building a China-Egypt community with a shared future in this new era."

Echoing these sentiments, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s adherence to the one-China policy and its support for China’s reunification efforts. He also expressed gratitude for China’s assistance in Egypt’s economic and social development.

"We welcome more Chinese enterprises to invest in Egypt," Abdelatty remarked. "Our partnership is vital for the growth and prosperity of both our nations."

The dialogue resulted in both sides agreeing to enhance cooperation in emerging fields such as new energy, aerospace, electric vehicles, 5G construction, agricultural technology, artificial intelligence, and the digital economy. They also emphasized the importance of strategic communication and coordination under multilateral frameworks, including the Belt and Road Initiative and BRICS cooperation.

This meeting marks a significant step in strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Egypt, setting the stage for increased collaboration and mutual growth.
