China Backs Syria in Rebuilding Itself Through Inclusive Dialogue Fm

China Pledges Support for Syria’s Peace and Rebuilding

China has declared its support for Syria’s peace and rebuilding efforts, emphasizing the importance of inclusive dialogue to meet the wishes of the Syrian people. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi made the announcement on Friday during a joint press conference with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty in Beijing.

“We support Syria in realizing peace at the earliest, advancing the domestic political process in accordance with the principle of ‘Syrian-led, Syrian-owned’, and finding a rebuilding plan through inclusive dialogue,” Wang Yi stated.

Expressing concern over the volatile situation in Syria, Wang highlighted China’s longstanding policy of friendship and cooperation with the country. He stressed that China respects Syria’s sovereignty and the choices of its people, and has never interfered in its internal affairs.

Wang called on the international community to safeguard Syria’s territorial integrity and respect its ethnic and religious traditions. “All countries should work together to extend a helping hand to Syria, push for the lifting of illegal unilateral sanctions, and ease its grave humanitarian situation,” he urged.

Addressing the current turmoil in the Middle East, Wang emphasized the immediate need to cease fire, stop violence, and alleviate the humanitarian crisis. He advocated for a political settlement through dialogue and negotiation, supporting self-determination and avoiding external interference.
