CMG Unveils 66 Exciting New Programs for CCTV-1 in 2025
China Media Group (CMG) announced an impressive lineup of 66 new programs for its CCTV-1 channel at a special event in Beijing on Tuesday. The programs cover a wide range of themes, from Chinese culture and industrial development to ecological conservation.
Liang Jianzeng, director of CMG’s editorial office, highlighted the channel’s remarkable growth, noting that viewership in 2024 reached a 13-year high of 6.28 percent. “We’re thrilled to bring diverse and quality content to our audience,” Liang said. “These new programs reflect our commitment to storytelling that resonates with viewers both in China and around the world.”
The event was attended by notable officials, including Shen Haixiong, president of CMG and vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, along with other ministers and vice ministers from various government departments.
