Wang Huning Urges Preparations for Upcoming CPPCC Annual Session
China’s top political advisor, Wang Huning, has called on senior political advisors to diligently prepare for the upcoming third session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), which is suggested to start on March 4.
Speaking at the 30th Chairperson’s Council meeting of the 14th CPPCC National Committee on Wednesday, Wang emphasized the importance of organizing the session effectively. As a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, his remarks carry significant weight.
Wang encouraged political advisors to contribute their insights and efforts toward achieving the goals outlined in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025). He stressed the need to ensure a strong start to the next five-year period, highlighting the crucial role that the CPPCC plays in China’s development.
During the meeting, attendees deliberated and approved draft reports on the work of the Standing Committee of the 14th CPPCC National Committee and on the handling of proposals since the second session. These reports will be submitted for consideration at the 10th session of the Standing Committee, scheduled for March 1 and 2.
The CPPCC serves as a key advisory body in China, and the upcoming annual session is expected to address important national issues and policies that will shape the country’s future.
