Xi Says People Can Always Count on Party Govt in Difficult Times

Xi Jinping Visits Flood-Affected Village, Pledges Support Ahead of Spring Festival

Braving the winter chill, Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Zhujiagou Village in Huludao City, Liaoning Province, on Wednesday. The village, located in northeast China, was heavily affected by floods during the summer of 2024.

Meeting with local residents, Xi emphasized that the Communist Party of China and the government stand firmly with the people during challenging times. “Huludao suffered severe flooding last year. I have been concerned about you and come to see you before the Spring Festival,” Xi told the villagers.

As the Spring Festival approaches on January 29, Xi inspected the progress of post-disaster reconstruction efforts in the village. “What I’ve seen today makes me feel relieved,” he said, expressing confidence in the restoration work being carried out.

Last year, China faced numerous natural disasters across the country. Acknowledging these hardships, Xi reaffirmed his belief that rebuilding efforts would yield positive outcomes. “We have always put the people first,” he stated. “The people can always count on the Party and the government in their most difficult times, and we will help them overcome difficulties and rebuild their homes.”

Xi’s visit comes as a reassurance to communities recovering from natural disasters, highlighting the government’s commitment to supporting its citizens.
