China’s Spring Festival Gala Kicks Off in Paris
China Media Group (CMG) brought the festive vibes of the Spring Festival to Paris on Friday with a lively “Prelude to the Spring Festival Gala.” The event lit up the French capital, blending traditional Chinese culture with modern tech innovations.
In a video address, Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and president of CMG, spotlighted the global embrace of the Spring Festival. Since being added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List last year, the festival has blossomed into a worldwide celebration.
“After 42 years, CMG’s Spring Festival Gala has become the most-watched New Year cultural and art TV program on the planet,” Shen noted. This year’s gala is set to dazzle with cutting-edge tech like 5G, 4K/8K ultra-high-definition, and AI, promising an unforgettable experience for audiences everywhere.
Around 200 guests from China and France joined the celebration, highlighting the growing bond between the two nations. The gala aims to share the rich traditions of the Spring Festival, showcasing performances that blend the old and the new.
For many, the Spring Festival is all about family, food, and fun. By bringing this event to Paris, CMG is spreading the joy and cultural heritage of the festival, reminding us all of the power of cultural exchange in connecting people across the globe.
