China Media Group (CMG) has announced the program lineup for the much-anticipated 2025 Spring Festival Gala, promising a spectacular evening filled with music, dance, comedy, and more. Set to air on January 28 at 8 p.m. Beijing Time, the gala aims to bring the joy of the Chinese New Year to audiences around the globe.
This year’s extravaganza features a vibrant mix of performances, including songs, dances, skits, cross-talk, operas, martial arts, and magic acts. The gala is renowned for blending modern entertainment with traditional Chinese culture, making it a staple for families celebrating the Lunar New Year.
CMG is enhancing accessibility this year by introducing features for visually and hearing-impaired viewers. Visually impaired audiences can listen to the live audio broadcast, while hearing-impaired viewers can enjoy customized accessibility options on CMG’s news app and video platforms.
The gala will be broadcast across multiple CMG television channels, including CCTV-1, CCTV-3, CCTV-4, and dedicated 4K and 8K ultra-high-definition channels. It will also be available on various radio frequencies and new media platforms, ensuring everyone can join in the festivities.
Internationally, the event will air via CGTN in English, Spanish, French, Arabic, and Russian, reaching over 200 countries and regions. More than 2,900 media outlets will carry the live broadcast, thanks to CMG’s partnerships with five major global news alliances: the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, the Arab States Broadcasting Union, the African Union of Broadcasting, the European News Exchange, and the Latin American News Alliance.
