The stars were out in full force on Wednesday as the Third China Media Group (CMG) Annual Chinese TV Drama Ceremony took place in Beijing. The event celebrated the best in Chinese television over the past year.
Among the night’s biggest winners were actors Yu Hewei and Jing Dong, and actresses Song Jia and Liu Yifei, who all took home the prestigious “Actor of the Year” and “Actress of the Year” awards.
Fifteen outstanding TV series, including The Tale of Rose, To the Wonder, and Romance in the Alley, were honored as “Outstanding TV Series of the Year,” highlighting the creativity and talent within the industry.
The ceremony was not just about awards. It also marked the launch of the Film and Television Tourism Consumption Integration Year, aiming to promote the integration of film, television, cultural tourism, and consumption, boosting the high-quality development of the cultural tourism sector.
Attendees were treated to spectacular performances of songs and dances, recreating famous scenes from popular TV dramas and paying tribute to the hardworking individuals behind the scenes.
For those who missed the live event, the ceremony will be rebroadcast on CCTV-1 at 5:00 p.m. on January 30 and on CCTV-8 during prime time on February 2.
