Xi Calls for All round Mutually Beneficial Cooperation with Kyrgyzstan

China and Kyrgyzstan Strengthen Ties for a Shared Future

Beijing, China — Chinese President Xi Jinping and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov met in Beijing on Wednesday to strengthen ties and deepen cooperation between their nations.

At their meeting, Xi highlighted the rapid development of China-Kyrgyzstan relations, noting that the two countries are good neighbors, friends, and partners. “China is ready to work with Kyrgyzstan to deepen the alignment of our development strategies and advance all-round mutually beneficial cooperation,” Xi said.

The leaders discussed expanding economic and trade cooperation, with a focus on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), China’s ambitious infrastructure and development project. Xi emphasized China’s commitment to importing more quality goods from Kyrgyzstan and encouraged Chinese enterprises to invest in the country. He also expressed hope that Kyrgyzstan would protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese investors.

Connectivity was a key topic, with plans to build the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. Xi called for “high standards and high quality” in the project’s construction, aiming to improve transportation links in the region. The two sides also agreed to enhance cooperation in emerging sectors like cross-border e-commerce, big data, and artificial intelligence.

President Japarov praised the strong relationship between the two countries, calling China a “reliable friend and partner.” He expressed firm support for China on issues concerning Taiwan, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Japarov pledged to advance cooperation in areas such as industry, investment, trade, transportation, e-commerce, and education.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a joint statement and several cooperation documents in diplomacy, economy, trade, agriculture, and other fields.

This visit marks a significant step in building a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future, reinforcing the partnership between the two nations in various areas.
