Iran Slams US Plan to Control Gaza and Relocate Palestinians

Iran has strongly condemned a US plan to take control of the Gaza Strip and relocate Palestinians from the coastal enclave.

Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, criticized the proposal put forward by US President Donald Trump during a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday.

“Expressing such thoughts is astonishing and aligns with targeted plans to completely eliminate the Palestinian nation,” Baghaei said in a statement released Wednesday night. He added that the claim of planning to own the Gaza Strip is “an unprecedented violation against all fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.”

Baghaei urged the international community and the UN to decisively condemn the US plan, emphasizing the need to restore the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and free them from occupation.

The US proposal includes taking control of Gaza, moving Palestinians to neighboring countries, and redeveloping the area—a move that has sparked widespread criticism and concerns over human rights violations.

“The plan should be completely rejected and condemned due to its obvious contradiction with the inalienable principles and rules of international law and human rights,” Baghaei stated.
