Chinas Major Telecom Operators Fully Integrate Deepseek Ai Model

China’s Telecom Giants Embrace DeepSeek AI to Enhance Services

China’s three major telecom operators – China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom – have fully integrated the open-source DeepSeek AI model into their services, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The operators are utilizing the DeepSeek-R1 model across various scenarios and products, offering customized computing power solutions and supportive environments.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is driving innovation in telecom services across the country. During the recent Spring Festival, the operators leveraged AI alongside 5G, cloud platforms, and big data to expand application scenarios and enhance AI service offerings. They used AI and 5G technologies to boost digital capabilities, providing billions of precise location services for smart vehicle navigation during the holiday season.

In addition, the telecom giants offered AI-powered voice inspection services to enhance fraud detection for financial institutions and developed cloud computing solutions to enable efficient remote work. The MIIT highlighted that AI and big data were also employed to support government services. China Unicom conducted real-time monitoring of travel flows and scenic spots, provided dynamic analysis of key infrastructure, and analyzed holiday consumption trends and post-holiday economic recovery.

The integration of AI technologies by China’s telecom operators showcases the country’s commitment to embracing innovative solutions to enhance services and support economic growth.
