Chinese Animated Hit ‘Ne Zha 2’ Sparks U.S. Frenzy with Soaring Pre-Sales

"Ne Zha 2", the animated sensation that has taken China’s box office by storm, is now igniting excitement across the United States. Ahead of its official release on February 14, American moviegoers are snapping up pre-sale tickets, causing them to fly off the shelves and leading to occupancy rates exceeding 90% in theaters nationwide.

The film, rooted in Chinese mythology, recently made cinematic history by becoming the highest-grossing movie in China. As of Monday afternoon, it has amassed an astounding 8.4 billion yuan (approximately $1.1 billion) in box office revenue. This achievement propels "Ne Zha 2" into the top six of the global box office rankings for animated films.

Moreover, the movie has climbed to the 30th spot among the highest-grossing films in global cinema history. It has surpassed international blockbusters such as "Aquaman," "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King," and "Spider-Man: Far From Home."

"We are thrilled to see such overwhelming enthusiasm from U.S. audiences," a representative from CMC Pictures, the film’s distributor, told China Media Group. "The demand is so high that pre-sale tickets are becoming increasingly hard to come by."

The surging popularity of "Ne Zha 2" in the U.S. reflects a growing global appreciation for Chinese animation. Fans are eagerly awaiting the film’s release, anticipating a cinematic experience that weaves rich cultural heritage with stunning visuals.
