International Skating Union (ISU) President Kim Jae-youl made a special visit to CGTN Sports Scene’s studio during the exciting 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province. Kim was full of praise for Harbin’s fantastic hosting of the games and commended China’s efforts in keeping the winter sports spirit alive since the 2022 Winter Olympics.
He received a thoughtful New Year gift from CGTN Sports Scene’s Greg Laffradi and shared his warm wishes with CGTN, highlighting the strong partnership between the ISU and CGTN.
Accompanying him was ISU Director General Colin Smith, who was experiencing Harbin for the first time. Smith was impressed by the vibrant atmosphere of the Asian Winter Games and admired the city known for producing many of China’s top winter sports athletes.
