“I heard a loud bang and felt the ground shake,” said a nearby shop owner. “People were screaming and running everywhere. It was terrifying.”

Emergency services responded swiftly, evacuating shoppers and staff while firefighters battled the ensuing blaze. The injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Local authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion, with initial reports suggesting a possible gas leak related to the construction activities.
