Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, on Monday stressed the importance of private enterprises in China’s economy during a symposium held in Beijing. Addressing a group of private entrepreneurs, President Xi underscored the government’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for private businesses.
“Private enterprises are vital to China’s economic growth, innovation, and employment,” President Xi said. “We must continue to encourage and guide their development.”
The symposium, aimed at strengthening dialogue between the government and the private sector, was also attended by Li Qiang and Ding Xuexiang. Wang Huning presided over the event.
