China and U.S. Plan Future Military Exchanges, Says Chinese Spokesperson

In a positive development for international relations, China and the United States have preliminary plans for future military exchanges, according to a Chinese spokesperson on Thursday. Wu Qian, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, announced at a press conference that both nations are arranging for these exchanges to take place in the foreseeable future.

Wu emphasized that China and the U.S. maintain effective communication through military diplomatic channels. He noted that relevant information about the upcoming exchanges will be released in due course.

Expressing hope for strengthened relations, Wu stated, “We hope the U.S. will work with China toward a common objective, guided by the consensus between our heads of state.” He called for both sides to enhance communication and dialogue, properly handle disagreements, and engage in substantive cooperation based on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation.

These efforts aim to give China-U.S. military-to-military relations a positive start and foster further growth. The move is seen as a step toward easing tensions and building trust between the two countries.
