Taiwans Dpp Authorities Warned Against Miscalculation

Mainland Spokesperson Cautions Taiwan’s DPP Over Military Exercises

A spokesperson from the Chinese mainland has issued a warning to Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities, urging them not to misjudge the current situation, public opinion, or the balance of power.

Reports indicate that Taiwan’s upcoming Han Kuang 41 military exercise will significantly extend its live-fire phase and involve mobilizing up to 3,000 reserve troops, reportedly influenced by the United States.

Commenting on these developments, Wu Qian, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, criticized the DPP authorities for what he described as an illusion of “seeking U.S. support for independence” and “resisting reunification by force.”

“We warn the DPP authorities that trying to stop the tide is futile and will only lead to adverse consequences. We will address these issues sooner or later,” Wu stated.

Wu emphasized that the Taiwan matter is an internal affair of China and should not involve external interference. “The U.S. aims to contain China using Taiwan and supports the DPP authorities’ risky and provocative actions toward ‘Taiwan independence.’ This strategy will ultimately backfire,” he added.

He further highlighted that people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are part of one Chinese family. “We will strive with utmost sincerity and effort for the prospect of peaceful reunification. However, we do not promise to renounce the use of force, which is aimed at ‘Taiwan secessionist’ forces and external interference,” Wu stressed.

“Anyone who dares to push for ‘Taiwan secession’ will certainly face swift and strong countermeasures from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army,” he concluded.
