China’s economy is making steady progress with solid promotion of high-quality development, according to Liu Jieyi, spokesperson for the third session of the 14th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee. Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Liu highlighted the nation’s recent economic achievements and optimistic outlook.
“New industries and business formats are continually emerging,” Liu noted. “Advancements in smart manufacturing and green productivity are happening daily, and China is leading the world in wind power, photovoltaics, and new energy vehicles.”
The spokesperson also emphasized strong consumer momentum during the Spring Festival holiday. Sales revenues for household appliances and audiovisual equipment saw significant surges compared to the previous year, while tourism-related services experienced notable increases.
“China’s economy is moving steadily along the path of high-quality development,” Liu concluded, expressing confidence in the country’s economic future.
