Beijing, China — China’s top political advisory body, the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), wrapped up its tenth standing committee session on Sunday. The meeting in Beijing was led by Wang Huning, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.
During his closing speech, Wang highlighted the progress made over the past year, emphasizing the CPPCC’s dedication to the central tasks of the Party and the nation. He called on political advisors to contribute significantly in 2025 toward advancing Chinese modernization and achieving the high-quality objectives set in the 14th Five-Year Plan.
“We must focus our efforts on the nation’s priorities, ensuring we meet our goals with excellence,” Wang stated.
The session also prepared for the upcoming third session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee. Documents adopted included the draft agenda, the annual session schedule, a work report of the Standing Committee, and a report on the handling of proposals from political advisors since the second session. These documents will be submitted for review at the forthcoming annual meeting.
