Addressing the state of the Chinese economy, Liu emphasized that the foundational conditions and long-term positive trajectory remain unchanged. He acknowledged that both domestic and international environments are undergoing profound changes, presenting various challenges and difficulties for economic development.

“We must face these difficulties head-on and maintain our confidence,” Liu stated, stressing that the pursuit of high-quality economic development will reach new heights.

Liu highlighted China’s commitment to deepening its opening-up policies across more areas and at greater depth. He detailed plans to steadily expand institutional opening-up, enhance foreign trade structural reforms, optimize regional opening-up layouts, and improve mechanisms for high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.

Reflecting on the past year, Liu noted significant progress in integrating scientific and technological innovation with industrial development. China has accelerated the modernization of its industrial system and achieved remarkable milestones in developing new, high-quality productive forces.
