At the opening meeting of the third session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Tuesday, vice chairperson Jiang Zuojun announced that 99.9 percent of proposals submitted since the last session have been processed with feedback.
Over the past year, political advisors have submitted a total of 6,019 proposals. Of these, 5,091 were formally filed, and nearly all have received responses.
“This high rate of feedback showcases the CPPCC’s dedication to addressing the concerns and suggestions of our political advisors,” Jiang stated.
The CPPCC, China’s top political advisory body, brings together representatives from various sectors to discuss important national issues and contribute to policymaking. The efficient processing of proposals reflects the body’s commitment to inclusivity and responsiveness.
For young people in the Global South, the CPPCC’s approach highlights the impact of active participation and dialogue in shaping policies that address societal needs.
