China Expands Visa-Free Policies to Boost Global Connections

Beijing, China — China’s Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, announced on Friday that the nation is expanding its visa-free policies to strengthen global ties and support its modernization efforts.

China has unilaterally granted visa exemptions to 38 countries and extended the transit visa exemption to 240 hours for travelers from 54 countries. This growing visa-free “circle of friends” is set to make international exchanges easier and enhance the global popularity of “China Travel.”

“We aim to create more convenient channels for global exchanges,” Wang Yi stated. “By simplifying travel, we’re building bridges for further opening up and cooperation.”

The Foreign Minister emphasized that China will launch more efficient foreign affairs services and optimize its business environment. This includes expanding institutional opening-up and maintaining unilateral opening-up to the least developed countries.

“Our goal is to ensure that China remains the first choice for international cooperation,” Wang added, highlighting the country’s commitment to independent and orderly opening-up.

For young people around the world, these changes mean more opportunities to explore China, engage in cultural exchanges, and participate in collaborative projects that contribute to global development.
