Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has emphasized China’s commitment to fostering global stability amid a rapidly changing international landscape. Speaking to journalists from domestic and international outlets on Friday, Wang highlighted the significant progress China has made in its diplomatic efforts over the past year.
“The year 2024 witnessed profound changes in the international landscape,” said Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee. He noted that China has played a pivotal role in creating a positive external environment that supports the country’s high-quality development.
Wang stated that China’s diplomacy has brought much-needed stability to a turbulent world, making solid strides in building a community with a shared future for mankind. “Our mission remains unchanged,” he said. “China will continue to uphold what is right, steer the direction of our era, defend international fairness and justice, and safeguard world peace and stability.”
He reiterated China’s commitment to working alongside other countries to promote peace and development globally, emphasizing that China’s diplomatic efforts are geared towards mutual benefits and shared progress.
