Xinjiang’s Remote Villages Connected: Delivery Services Now Reach All Corners

Transportation and daily life in remote areas of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region have seen remarkable improvements in recent years, according to Ayimusha Tuohetahong, a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

As vice chairwoman of the CPPCC of Ulugqat County in northwest China’s Xinjiang region, she highlighted that nearly all villages are now covered by delivery services. This advancement means that agricultural and husbandry products from Xinjiang can be sold to other regions across China.

“Now, residents in even the most remote villages can send and receive packages, connecting them with the rest of the country,” said Ayimusha during a question-and-answer session at the Members’ Corridor. She spoke during the third session of the 14th National Committee of the CPPCC at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

The expansion of delivery services is part of broader efforts to enhance infrastructure and improve livelihoods in Xinjiang’s rural areas, fostering economic growth and opportunities for local communities.
