The Chinese military is gearing up to achieve its ambitious goals set for the 100th anniversary of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in 2027. On Sunday, during the annual national legislative session, Wu Qian, spokesperson for the delegation of the PLA and the People’s Armed Police Force, highlighted the importance of these goals in China’s journey to becoming a fully modern country.
“We must dedicate our efforts to ensuring that we achieve our goals with strong performance and on schedule,” Wu emphasized.
He shared that military leaders are committed to boosting troop training and improving combat readiness. This includes upgrading military training programs, strengthening forces with advanced technology, and enhancing the ability to succeed in modern warfare that relies on information technology and artificial intelligence.
This push reflects China’s broader mission to modernize its military and enhance its defense capabilities. By focusing on cutting-edge tech and advanced training, the Chinese military aims to emerge as a leading global force by the PLA’s 100th anniversary in 2027.
